Survivor Support Specialist
The role
ComfortZone also supports Holocaust survivors and the relatives who care for them. A survivor support specialist keeps both parts of that work moving: the documentation, and the daily support around the person.
What the work is
- Listen to what the survivor and the family need at home, before paperwork takes over the conversation
- Help gather and process the documentation the family needs
- Coordinate care hours with the service coordinator and the people providing daily support
- Stay in touch, so the family knows who is watching the routine and who to call when it changes
Who you are with
Holocaust survivors and the relatives who care for them, in New York. The work sits next to the NHTD and TBI coordinators when a family is also using one of those waivers. It is full-time.
This is an example of how a full role appears on the site. It is not a live opening.
